LOCATIONS

Main halls
Many of the buildings on the Garden City campus are symmetrical in nature. This is likely because garden cities are typically planned symmetrically.[25] For example, Woodruff Hall has a second chimney solely to preserve the symmetry of the building.

Scholarships

Eligible students are automatically considered for most Adelphi scholarships upon acceptance into the University. Adelphi grants are awarded to students on the basis of financial need as determined by filing the FAFSA and other defined criteria.

Except where noted, no additional application is required. However, you must complete the FAFSA in order to be considered for federal and state grants. For New York State scholarships and grants, residents must take additional application steps.

INTAKE

Freshman Admission Deadlines, Decisions and Early Action

For Early Action, December 1 is the submission deadline, and December 31 is the decision deadline. May 1st is the student reply date.
For Rolling Admission* (any time), the decision time is 3-4 weeks after receipt of the application. May 1** is the student reply date.
*Applications received after the March 1 priority date will be considered on a space-available basis.
** Commitments received after May 1 will be considered on a space-available basis for enrollment and housing.

About Early Action: Students applying for Early Action are among the first students considered for a wide range of generous scholarships and need-based financial assistance.

In some cases, the Admissions Committee may defer making a final decision until it has received a report of the candidate’s midterm grades, additional scores or until a personal interview takes place.

Early Action is non-binding.
